Έμειναν 15 ώρες στη θάλασσα εν γνώσει του λιμενικού: Κινδύνευσαν πρόσφυγες ανοιχτά της Λέσβου (Videos)

Περισσότερες από 15 ώρες έμειναν σε βάρκα ανοιχτά της Λέσβου πρόσφυγες και μετανάστες από το Αφγανιστάν και το Ιράν το Σάββατο, μέχρι τελικά η βάρκα να ρυμουλκηθεί από το λιμενικό αργά το βράδυ της ίδιας μέρας.

Σύμφωνα με την ΜΚΟ Watch the Med που διαχειρίζεται την υπηρεσία Alarm Phone μέσω της οποίας ειδοποιούν για την κατάστασή τους άτομα που βρίσκονται σε κίνδυνο στη θάλασσα, το Λιμενικό είχε ειδοποιηθεί ήδη από το πρωί του Σαββάτου για την ύπαρξη της λέμβου με τους πρόσφυγες εντός ελληνικών χωρικών υδάτων.

Το μαρτύριο των προσφύγων και μεταναστών, ανάμεσά τους μικρά παιδιά και έγκυες γυναίκες, η μία σε προχωρημένη εγκυμοσύνη, συνεχίστηκε για αρκετές ώρες ακόμα, παρά τις επανειλημμένες εκκλήσεις των προσφύγων για παροχή βοήθειας από τις ελληνικές αρχές.

Τελικά, αργά το βράδυ του Σαββάτου, η λέμβος ρυμουλκήθηκε στο λιμάνι της Πέτρας, όπου θα παραμείνουν μέχρι να ελεγχθούν ιατρικά από κλιμάκιο του ΕΟΔΥ, και στη συνέχεια θα οδηγηθούν στα Μεγάλα Θέρμα για να μπουν σε καραντίνα.

Πρόκειται για την τρίτη βάρκα που φτάνει στη Λέσβο τον Ιούνιο, ενώ στα υπόλοιπα νησιά οι ροές παραμένουν μηδενικές.

Their last position at 21.15 CEST was at 39.3950 N, 26.1892 E. All competent authorities have knowledge of the situation. Do not let the woman and the baby die!**🚨 🚨 🚨 BREAKING – We are in contact already the whole day with 32 people, among them 11 children, 11 women and 10 men who are still struggling in the North of Lesvos for their survival!This morning at 6:34 CEST we alerted the Greek Coast Guard for the first time and have since then called all authorities several times, but they are ignoring the severe distress situation. Vessels of the Hellenic Coast Guard are on side but instead of rescuing, driving dangerous maneuvers around the boat. The boat is inside Greek waters, the people paddle with their bare hands but there is water inside the boat already. The people are very brave, but especially the children and one pregnant woman are suffering a lot. We just received this message from the boat:"Please hurry, we are so scared!
